Hey, folks

It's pretty scary right now, if you were hoping for a quick and decisive Harris victory. I was. All the smart people I enjoy reading on the internet said the polls seemed like they might be wrong, and it looks like the polls were actually very accurate. This is a tight race, and it is absolutely not over yet, but regardless of what happens, my country feels a lot more dangerous to me than it used to. I'm sorry if I gave anyone false confidence, which I'm sure I did. I knew I was being hopeful, and to be honest, it felt really good to get swept up in that hope. that we were moving out of this era of American history.

Anyway, like I said, it's not over yet. Here is a timeline of how long it took the race to be decided in 2020

A bunch of us seem to have forgotten how stressful it was, and how long it took, or maybe we just hoped it would be different this time.

I want to be more hopeful right now, but to be honest, I'm feeling pretty sad and confused. The world is more complicated than I thought it was.
